Bleed Radio Bleed has been playing its brand of rock informed by elements of punk, psychedelia, and even Latin American music since 2006. The band sounds like what would happen if members of post-hardcore and Bolivian metal bands got together and invited the long time frontman of an indie-pop group to paste the melodies and lyrics from his aborted country solo album over their psychedelic prog-rock songs.

This would never really happen, of course.

Founding members Eric Heidel and Kevin Hilyard previously released an eponymous EP before adding Dave Maietta, Matt Wanamaker, and Alvaro Trigo in 2008. Together, they have continued to tour regionally while recording the debut full length White Horse / Black Horse.

White Horse / Black Horse., which was mixed by Vincent Ratti of Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer and Mastered by Bill Henderson formerly of Thursday, is being released by Break Even Records, which helped launch the careers of Zolof as well as This Day Forward.

Lyrically, many album tracks draw upon fictionalized situations from history, such as an imagined tryst between Jane Jacobs and Robert Moses ("I Cut My Teeth In The Freeway Revolts") the final words of Volcanologist David A Johnston on Mt St Helens ("Vancouver! Vancouver! This Is It!") and the sabotage of an African airliner by nearby villagers ("Smell No Taste.")

Members of Bleed Radio Bleed formerly played in the power-pop collective Canadian Invasion and post-hardcore group Amertume and have played across the U.S. in every type of venue you can imagine. Now Bleed Radio Bleed is preparing to do the same.
